Telemetry RN Job Details

• Position: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Rockingham, VA 22801 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Surgery Unit 1
• Contract Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Start Date: December 22, 2025
• End Date: March 23, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (option to extend up to 26 weeks)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,880 - $2,020

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN or Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong proficiency in telemetry interpretation and clinical assessment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals with diagnoses such as chest pain, COPD, falls, orthostatic hypotension, post-op lap chole/appendectomy, joint surgeries, pneumonia, and GI bleeds
• Administer and monitor heparin drips as part of clinical support duties
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 for optimal patient care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Promote a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment in the healthcare setting
