Job Description

The Operating Room (OR) team provides care for a diverse patient population across a variety of specialized surgical fields, including but not limited to orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma. The facility is equipped with 2 Davinci robots and participates in a transplant program for livers, kidneys, and hearts.

Responsibilities

The role includes responsibilities such as scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures, with an emphasis on strong ortho background and specialty cases involving transplants and reconstructive surgeries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in New York State (NY state license ONLY)
• Two (2) years of nursing experience, with OR experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred
• Ability to scrub and circulate in a surgical setting
• BLS Certification (from the American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS Certification preferred
