Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient gastroenterology services, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of digestive disorders.
- Conduct inpatient consultations for hospitalized patients with gastrointestinal conditions.
- Perform endoscopic procedures and other diagnostic or therapeutic interventions as required.
- Collaborate with other specialists to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support clinical best practices.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a West Virginia medical license.
- Completion of an Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology fellowship program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
