Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience
• Chest tube and drain management experience
• Post-operative open heart care experience
• Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting cardiac rhythm strips
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
• Experience assisting with chest tube removal, pericardial pacing wire removal, and management of temporary pacers (pericardial and transcutaneous)
• Experience with non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and oxygen delivery systems
• BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Willingness to float to all units within skill level
• Critical Care experience highly preferred

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients, including post-cardiac surgery and procedure recovery
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to changes, and implement interventions
• Manage chest tubes, drains, and temporary pacers
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access
• Assist with removal of pericardial pacing wires and chest tubes
• Utilize and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation devices and oxygen delivery systems
• Float to other hospital units as needed, supporting clinical teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
