Position Description
The Sr. Manager, Corporate Finance & Business Analysis will be a critical partner to the Transformation Office and various functional leads. This role is responsible for rigorously reviewing, challenging, and ultimately validating the financial benefit estimates (i.e. cost savings, revenue uplift, working capital improvements) associated with large-scale business transformation initiatives. The goal is to ensure that benefit targets are realistic, measurable, and have a clear, traceable path to realization, thereby maximizing the return on investment for the company’s strategic programs. The role will also lead the financial analysis of business performance and act as an independent business advisor to the business including responsibility for the evaluation of capital allocation effectiveness and deployment of resources. The role will also manage the monitoring and benchmarking of key financial metrics relative to direct and indirect competitors in the industry.

Duties:
The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:
- Benefit Modeling & Review: Lead the detailed review and critical assessment of financial models developed by transformation initiative owners, focusing on assumptions, calculation methodology, and data integrity. Challenge initiative owners on their underlying assumptions, drivers, and the probability of achieving the projected benefits.
- Validation & Sign-off: Provide independent, objective validation and formal sign-off on the financial viability and realization potential of all high-value transformation initiatives before they are approved for execution. Establish and maintain standardized methodologies and templates for benefit estimation and documentation across the organization.
- Tracking & Governance: Work closely with the Transformation Office and Group Finance teams to embed validated benefits into the financial planning processes. Monitor the actual realization of validated benefits post-implementation, reporting on variances and collaborating with initiative owners to develop course-correcting strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary North American finance liaison to the Transformation Office, presenting validation findings and recommendations.
- Business Analysis including evaluation of profitability by customer, product, and production location as well as identifying opportunities to increase profitability and efficiency of the business.
- Coordinate capital allocation analysis and decisions including ROIC and network optimizations. Track the opportunity capital project pipeline and perform post implementation reviews and analysis on opportunity capital investments. Partner with the FP&A planning team to ensure opportunity capital investments and returns are incorporated into financial projections.
- Partner with Commercial Finance to evaluate pricing and volume capture opportunities in order to maximize scale economics and associated economic benefits.
- Partner with the Commercial Strategy team to incorporate financial competitor analysis for the North American business, incorporating key financial metrics into the competitor database and reporting on internal performance relative to competitors on a quarterly basis.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerBI along with proficiency in PowerPoint and Word is required
- Strong finance and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong technical and data management skills are preferred. Experience with SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud Planning is preferred.
- Ability to summarize large amounts of information and communicate succinctly
- Excellent time management skills with ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent presentation skills and comfort speaking in front of Executive Management and large audiences
- Team player who is able to work across multiple functions and develop strong working relationships
- Results oriented with a sense of urgency, able to work under deadline pressures
- Very organized and detail oriented
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 6 – 8 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, strategic consulting, or a similar role focused on business case development and financial modeling. M&A or other business analysis experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in validating, tracking, and realizing benefits from large-scale projects, process improvement, or business transformation programs.
- Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling (i.e. discounted cash flow, ROI, payback) using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and how operational changes impact financial statements.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and analyzing a full P&L and Balance Sheet for a business, preferably within the Manufacturing sector
- Demonstrated data mining capabilities, with ability to develop analytical models, tools and reports.
