Contract Length: 13 weeks
We are seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a travel assignment at a smaller hospital providing a mix of inpatient acute rehab, adult rehab unit (ARU), and outpatient pediatric coverage. This role focuses on assessment, treatment, and evaluation of patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders across the lifespan.
Schedule & Unit Details- Day shift, Thursday–Monday or Sunday–Thursday
- Patient ratios: 1:5
- Mix of IP/ARU and OP with occasional weekend coverage
- 42-bed facility
- Interdisciplinary support available
- Active SLP license (CCC-SLP preferred)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience
- Experience with both pediatric outpatient and adult inpatient rehab patients
- Bedside swallow evaluations and dysphagia management
- Cognitive and language disorder interventions
- Voice, fluency, and communication therapy
- Use of adaptive equipment (communication boards, memory aids)
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing and documentation
- Patient/family education and safety monitoring
