Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring an OH or compact license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Epic experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with estimated patient ratios of 1:3-4
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
- Rotating weeknights, weekends, and holidays are required
- Travelers may be required to float to different units within the health system as needed
- Experience with Epic EMR is required
- Must complete urgent Ohio fingerprinting after contract signing
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and included in the contract
- Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
- Floating to other units is required based on facility needs
- Responsibilities include caring for PCU patients and supporting unit needs
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Med-Surg experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Completion of a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
- At least two professional references, including one from a supervisor or manager
- Former employees must have at least 6 months separation to be eligible for consideration
- Current employees of the health system are not eligible for this travel assignment
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred
