Step-Down Nurse - 13-week Contract Position

Job DescriptionThis position is within a 20-bed Step-Down unit that requires specialized nursing skills and experience. The unit operates with a staff that includes Registered Nurses, Nurse Externs, Patient Care Techs, and management personnel who work collaboratively to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients on cardiac drips and assist with BIPAP/CPAP/High Flow oxygen therapy.
- Monitor patients post-cath without intervention and manage chest tubes.
- Participate in bedside shift reports and mandatory shift huddles.
- Perform occasional bedside cardioversion, ensuring appropriate staff are present for patient recovery.
- Must have experience in Step-Down units and administering cardiac drips.
- ACLS certification is required.
- Experience with managing sepsis and using advanced equipment is preferred.
