HospitalistsClarksburg, WV(Locum Tenens)Position Overview:We have an immediate need for two (2) locum Hospitalists to provide internal medicine care for our veteran population at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Cetner located in Clarksburg, WV. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on veterans lives while experiencing the unique beauty of the Mid Appalachians.Core Responsibilities: Provide direct inpatient care (95% of time) Admit and manage hospitalized patients Participate in code and rapid response teams Perform history and physicals, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment Perform procedures (e.g., lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis) Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up Attend quality improvement meetings Complete documentation in VAs EHR (CPRS) Report patient safety incidents within 24 hours Comply with VA policies on privacy, ethics, and infection control Ensure continuous coverage, including during absences Provide replacement within 2 hours if a scheduled provider is unavailable Maintain a contingency plan for staffing changesMust have completed a residency in Internal Medicine and be Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board in Internal Medicine.Credentialling and onboarding takes approximately 4-6 weeks.Hours & Schedule: Typically, 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7amItems Required for Submission: Current CV without any gaps over 30 days since completion of medical school- written explanations are accepted One active, unrestricted Medical License in any state Current DEA BLS- American Heart Association (AHA) required 3 Current ReferencesContactJason HuntSygnetics Healthcare is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in placing healthcare providers into various specialties positions with recognized Federal healthcare facilities across the United States.
