Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate contract opportunity in Baton Rouge, LA. This critical role involves providing specialized telemetry care in a hospital setting, emphasizing cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and patient management. Pay Package:
$30 per hour with an additional $1,200 weekly stipends on a temporary 8-week contract. This role offers competitive compensation aligned with industry standards for telemetry nursing in a hospital environment.
Required Skills:
- Current and valid Louisiana RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience
- Proficiency in cardiac drips, EKG interpretation, and Epic charting
- Current BLS certification
- Strong clinical skills in cardiac patient management
- Ability to work the 12-hour night shift with reliability and professionalism
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Nursing degree from accredited program
- Prior experience in a hospital telemetry unit with high-acuity patients
- Familiarity with hospital electronic health records systems (Epic preferred)
Other Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Louisiana RN license at the time of employment
- Willingness to complete a criminal record check as required by state law
- Availability for 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
