This locum Urology Physician position in Texas requires providing 24/7 on-call urology coverage at a Level II trauma center. The physician will respond to emergency calls and consultations several times weekly, handling core urology procedures and potentially admissions. Candidates must hold an active Texas medical license, be board certified or eligible, and have required certifications such as ABLS and BLS.

We are a level II trauma center and it is required that we have Urology call coverage 24/7. The locums can expect an average of 1 to 3 times per week where he/she would be required to come in to respond to a call/consult. He/she could also expect to respond via phone call to ER/consults at least 1 or 2 times per day. Robotic surgery privileges, although part of the supplemental urology privileges, are not necessary for this assignment. The candidate should be comfortable with all of the Urology core procedures. They could possibly do admissions, but most will be consultations.
