Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with telemetry and IV start skills for a day shift position on an oncology floor, requiring a GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit with a focus on oncology patients
• Patient ratio is typically 1:6 or 1:7
• Day shift schedule, with 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 to 19:00); 3x12 also considered
• Block scheduling may be available
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Uses Cerner and Soarian EMR systems
• Experience with higher patient ratios is required
• Provide medical-surgical nursing care to oncology patients
• Minimal to no requested time off is permitted; any RTO must be stated at time of consideration
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV start required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Must wear royal blue scrubs (not provided)
• Candidates must live more than 30 miles from the facility; local rate applies for 31-50 miles
