We are seeking General Medicine Providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. This position allows for flexible scheduling with opportunities to work in your own office or at a designated facility. We are committed to delivering high-quality care to our veterans.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based assessments with some physical evaluations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- No prescribing or treatment required.
- Option to work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) on a PRN basis.
- Complete required documentation including reports and addendums.
- Provide care in your own office if a local VES facility is not available.
- Engage with veterans with compassion and professionalism.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular health.
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
- AANP certification is required.
- Active and unrestricted full license in Maine.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain DMA certification.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferable.
- Must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner license in Maine.
- AANP certification is mandatory.
- DMA certification required after completion of training.
