Description

• Inpatient Consultations along with ER Call Coverage
• We are Trauma Level 3 and actively seeking Trauma Level 2 Certification
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Call is for both assigned and unassigned patients
• Able to do complex procedures, i.e. ERCPs
• We do not provide a beeper and/or cell phone. Our practice has been that we utilize physicians cell phone #

Requirements:

• Physician must be board certified and/or board eligible.
• Ability to do advanced procedures, i.e., ERCP procedures
• Will require the ability to administer moderate sedation, as at times we do not have anesthesia readily available
  • ACLS life safety certification

Scope of Service

• Emergency Room Call
• Inpatient Consultations
• Coverage for community physicians in-house patients during scheduled coverage days as needed
• Hand-off communication to ER physician on-call and/or community physician when scheduled coverage days are completed

Any prospective candidates MUST hold a current Texas License and DEA.
