A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care to adult and geriatric patients across various surgical departments including OR, ASCs, IR, Cath Lab, EP, OB, and MRI. Working within a large multidisciplinary team, the CRNA administers anesthetics using specialized equipment such as Draeger anesthesia machines and Glidescopes while utilizing EMR systems like Epic. Required certifications include Board Certification as a CRNA, DEA registration, and preferred ACLS, BLS, and PALS, with 1-2 years of experience recommended.
Work Details:
• Support staff: Anesthesia techs
• Patients per day: Approximately 150 anesthetics per day between Main OR, ASCs, IR, Cath Lab, EP, OB, MRI, etc.
• Patient population/age: 18 Geriatric. Very limited pediatric cases but travelers is not included in pediatric cases
• Department description: Large department of 70 CRNAs with 15 anesthesiologists working under Medical Direction Care Team model providing anesthesia for generally, GYN, ortho, urology, and vascular cases
• EMR: Epic (Preferred)
• Special Equipment: Have Glidescopes, Alaris IV pumps. Utilize Draeger anesthesia machines.
• Skills required: No regional or block skills needed
Requirements:
• Board Certification: CRNA
• State license required: No
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications preferred: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Minimum experience required: 1-2 years
