The Registered Nurse in Gastroenterology provides specialized nursing care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered, evidence-based treatment. This role involves managing acute and chronic GI illnesses, assisting with procedures, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and families. Our Gastroenterology Unit provides specialized care to patients with a wide range of GI-related conditions. Nurses on this team are highly skilled in managing both acute and chronic GI needs, and work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Unit Highlights:
Newly remodeled 36 bed acute care unit
Care for patients with GI recovery, GI bleeds, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disorders, pancreatitis, and post-procedural needs

What We're Looking For:
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
Provide comprehensive nursing care to GI patients
Monitor patient progress and respond to changing clinical needs
Assist with preparation and recovery for GI procedures
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on condition management and treatment plans
