Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Neuro Med/Surg Tele Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have neurology and medical-surgical telemetry experience and be part of a Med/Surg Telemetry Certified Stroke Center. You will primarily care for neuro-related patients but may also support other patient populations as a telemetry overflow unit.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in a telemetry environment.
- Manage patients with neurological diagnoses, seizures, and stroke.
- Perform basic EKG testing and vital monitoring.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Respond to patient emergencies and coordinate rapid response as needed.
- 2 years of Neurology and Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification.
- Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
