Position Description: Emergency Medicine Medical Director

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Medical Director to provide clinical and operational leadership for a high-acuity emergency department in San Antonio, TX. This role offers the opportunity to oversee daily ED operations, supervise staff, and collaborate with hospital leadership while shaping the department s growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the emergency department.

• Provide clinical oversight and professional guidance to physicians, NPs, and PAs.

• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, bylaws, and quality standards.

• Serve as a liaison between the ED and hospital administration.

• Represent the department in community and institutional initiatives.

• Support operational improvements, patient flow, and departmental efficiency.

• 28 Beds, including QuickCare & "Results Pending" suite

• Admission Rate: 26%

• Level IV Trauma Center

• APP Support: Independent NP/PA practice with physician collaboration
