Job Opportunity: Interventional Cardiologist (Weekend Coverage) Illinois

Location: Illinois Schedule: Weekend Coverage Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM License Requirement: Must hold an active Illinois medical license

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to provide comprehensive weekend coverage at our hospital. This role is ideal for a physician who thrives in acute care settings and is passionate about delivering high-quality cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full Interventional Cardiology coverage during weekend shifts

• Perform cardiac catheterizations, PCI, and other interventional procedures

• Cover the hospital s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients

• Respond to STEMI call coverage and manage emergent cases

• Conduct Cath Lab procedures for inpatients as needed

• Collaborate with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patient care

• Work closely with employed and PSA cardiologists to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology

• Active and unrestricted Illinois medical license

• Proven experience in acute cardiac care and interventional procedures

• Strong communication and collaboration skills
