This locum tenens position seeks a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to provide 24-hour in-house OB/GYN call coverage, including deliveries and emergent surgeries, at a hospital with a Level II NICU. The role requires proficiency in all OB/GYN procedures, management of antepartum and postpartum patients, and experience with Epic EMR. The facility offers competitive pay, quick privileging, and works alongside other providers and midwives in a high-acuity environment.

- Schedule: Provide 24-hour OB/GYN call (7a 7a), with the potential for 1-4 shifts per month as needs arise. The site wants to add providers to the bench strength for future gaps.
- High-Acuity Environment: The hospital features a Level II NICU with a gestational age cutoff of 24 weeks. Anesthesia is onsite 24/7.
- Workload: Typical daily volume on L&D is 6-10 patients (including postpartum). You can expect an average of 3 deliveries per shift and less than 2 emergent GYN surgeries. Average admissions while on call are 3.
- Procedures: You must be proficient to cover all deliveries and emergent GYN surgeries.
- EMR: The facility uses Epic for charting.
- Quick Privileging: The estimated time to secure Temporary Privileges is only 30 days.
- Provide 24-hour, in-house OB/GYN call coverage (7a 7a).
- Cover all deliveries and emergent GYN surgeries.
- Manage rounding for 7-10 antepartum and postpartum patients per day.
- Required Skill: Must be proficient in inductions for V-BACS (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section).
- Note: You will not work solo. Other practices also deliver on the floor, and Midwives provide intermittent coverage.
- Board Status: Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Licensure: An active Maryland State License is REQUIRED, but the facility will accept candidates needing to obtain a license. IMLC will not be considered.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR, DEA, and CSR licenses are required.
