Job Summary (List Format):
- Performs nursing care activities for patients in pre-anesthesia, post-anesthesia Phase I, and Phase II settings throughout the surgical experience.
- Monitors patients receiving local anesthesia in the operating room and provides sedation for select procedures.
- Ensures quality patient care before and after procedures by utilizing the nursing process, adhering to established care standards, and following hospital policies and procedures.
- Acts as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process.
- Directs and supervises assigned personnel during patient care.
- Participates in regular on-call rotation for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Supports the hospital’s mission, vision, values, and policies in all work activities.
- Works day shift with flexible scheduling.
