We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in California. This position offers the chance to provide care in an outpatient setting, working with both pediatric and adult patients. The assignment is set to begin in January 2025, and we are looking for a long-term candidate to fill the vacancy for an extended period.

Job Requirements:

• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active California medical license
• BLS certification required
• Previous experience in a similar outpatient setting preferred
• No inpatient care required
• No hospital or surgery center privileges needed
• Must be able to see both adult and pediatric patients

Candidate Profile:

• Ability to work independently in a busy outpatient setting
• Comfortable managing a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients
• Must be able to work with EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Locum Tenens candidates with 3+ years of experience will be prioritized, but we will consider all qualified applicants, including those who are board-eligible if less than 5 years since residency

Credentialing & Requirements:

• Credentialing typically takes 30-90 days, so early application is encouraged
• Required immunizations and health checks include flu vaccination, TB status, MMR titer, Hepatitis B titer, Varicella titer, and Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years)
• Active DEA registration is required before starting the assignment
• Chart closure within 72 hours is mandatory
