Job Title: Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
Job Description: Diagnose and treat various spinal conditions, aiming to enhance the overall quality of life for your patients. This includes providing surgical and non-surgical interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to diagnose and treat a range of spine conditions, including spinal deformities, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and traumatic injuries.
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, to aid in precise diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, which may involve surgical interventions, conservative treatments, physical therapy, and pain management techniques.
- Provide expert guidance and consultations to patients, their families, and healthcare staff on spinal conditions and the available treatment options.
- Collaborate closely with other medical professionals, including primary care physicians, anesthesiologists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in spine surgery and integrate evidence-based practices into patient care.
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnostic results, and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery with a subspecialty in Spine Surgery (Preferred).
- Texas State medical license and any necessary certifications for practice.
Locations:
- Based in Austin or San Antonio with clinics in both locations
- Travel once a month to remote clinics in other South Texas cities
