Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of invasive cardiology experience and Epic proficiency for advanced procedures.
Responsibilities
- Work in an invasive cardiology unit featuring 4 cardiac catheterization labs and 2 electrophysiology labs
- Unit includes 23 prep and recovery bays
- Advanced cardiovascular procedures performed including complex coronary, VAD/ECMO, TAVR, ASD/PFO closure, ablations, pacemaker/ICD implant and extraction, pulmonary embolectomy, and structural heart interventions
- Over 6,000 procedures completed annually
- 4x10 hour day shifts with hours between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- Weekend and call shifts may be required as needed
- Floating to similar units may be required as needed
- Epic EMR used; experience required
- Duties include participation in advanced cardiovascular procedures including device implants, ablations, and complex interventions
- No call shifts required on holidays
- Tobacco and fragrance-free work environment
- Pre-employment modules to be completed prior to start
- Team support and management structure includes clinical screening and manager interview
- Scrub color or dress code not specified
- Travel pairs accepted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed
- Eligibility for the position is determined by clinical review and hiring manager interview
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in invasive cardiology or cardiac cath lab
- Current ACLS and BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must be able to work varied shift end times to ensure patient care is completed
- No adverse license actions accepted
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles may be submitted at a lower rate
- Must be comfortable providing care to COVID patients if needed
