Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Requires board certification, medical licensure, and experience with a minimum required workload per shift in a remote working environment.
We are actively seeking a skilled Remote General Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team, providing crucial evening coverage from your home office. This is an ongoing opportunity for a radiologist committed to delivering high-quality, timely interpretations for emergent, inpatient, STAT, stroke, and urgent cases.
The ideal candidate will be available to cover shifts Monday through Sunday, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM CST . Additionally, Holiday coverage will be required as part of this role.
This position has an annual volume of approximately 10,752 studies for these shifts, with a minimum required RVU per shift of 32 . We offer Emergency Privileging to facilitate a swift onboarding process.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely interpretations of a wide range of general diagnostic imaging studies, including emergent, inpatient, STAT, stroke, and urgent cases.
- Interpret studies from various modalities.
- Collaborate effectively with referring physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain high standards of quality and patient safety in all interpretations.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certification in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (or equivalent recognized board).
- Active, unrestricted medical license(s) in relevant states, or willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
- Proven experience in general diagnostic radiology, with comfort in emergent and acute care reads.
- Ability to meet or exceed the minimum required RVU per shift.
- Excellent diagnostic interpretation skills and strong communication abilities.
- Reliable internet connection and dedicated home office setup suitable for teleradiology.
