Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring at least one year of inpatient Med/Surg experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital
- Care for general Med/Surg patient population
- Telemetry is monitored in a centralized location
- Night shifts with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules
- Free-floating charge nurse and a house discharge nurse support the unit
- First time travelers are accepted
- No travel pairs or groups will be considered
- No more than three days of requested time off will be approved; no time off permitted in the first week of orientation
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum one year of inpatient Med/Surg experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Locals within a 50 mile radius are not eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been gone at least one year before returning as a traveler
