A growing emergencydepartment in Grand Ledge, MI is seeking a Board Certified Emergency MedicinePhysician to provide locum tenens coverage. This role offers flexible shiftoptions, no call requirements, and the opportunity to support a developing EDwith manageable patient volumes.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts available
- Weekend coverage options include 24-hour shifts or 12-hour shifts
- Day: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Night: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- No on-call requirements
Facility & ED Details:
- Projected Annual ED Volume: 15,000 visits
- Average Daily Volume:
- 20 patients/day during first 6 months
- 40 patients/day by the end of year one
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients across all acuity levels.
- Perform emergency procedures consistent with Emergency Medicine training.
- Manage trauma and acute medical cases in accordance with ATLS guidelines.
- Coordinate care with consultants and inpatient teams as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation in the facility's EMR system.
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM only)
- Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
- ATLS certification required
- DEA registration required
- No Family Medicine or Internal Medicine candidates considered
