Job Details:
• Work 4x12 night shifts in a 10-bed telemetry observation unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5 for both days and nights
• Guaranteed 48 hours for 4x12 hour shifts
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts in 6 weeks (Saturday/Sunday)
• On-call requirement of 5-6 night shifts in 6 weeks (22:00-07:00)
• Float within scope to M/S Tele as needed
• Care for patients with 24-48 hour observation stays for various medical diagnoses
• Occasional overflow surgical patients, no medication drips
• Must have strong telemetry experience and ability to function autonomously
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS
• Massachusetts state license required and must be valid at time of submission
• 2 years of experience required
• Epic or Cerner experience preferred
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Any color scrubs allowed (no jean material)
• Cerner charting system
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Standard contract length is 14 weeks

The telemetry observation unit specializes in short-term patient monitoring for diagnostic rule-outs, typically involving 24-48 hour stays. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and transportation services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
