The Registered Nurse Ambulatory Specialty Lead in Pediatrics oversees clinical operations, ensures quality patient care, and supports healthcare providers in ambulatory settings. They lead teams, conduct audits, manage laboratory operations, and provide staff training to maintain compliance with healthcare standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a nursing degree with current RN licensure.
Responsible for assisting Providers by preparing patients for medical exam, assessment, and telephone triage. In partnership with the clinic administrator, ensures implementation and success of NHMG goals, organizes and directs the clinical environment, and coordinates teams to assure effective care is given to provide quality patient care in physician practices. The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, delegate and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports creating an environment that allows team members to be present with patients and families. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. What We're Looking For:- Education: Associates degree OR Bachelor's degree in Nursing, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096
- Additional Skills (required): Excellent human relation skills, possess effective oral and written communication skills, possess leadership and problem solving skills, operate personal computer.
Job responsibilities include the following:
- Provide staff training and support for clinical best practices
- Conduct clinical audits to ensure compliance and quality standards
- Oversee and manage laboratory operations
- Serve as a Float RN, assisting multiple providers rather than being assigned to one
- Prepare and submit accurate reports as required
