• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week

Clinical Details

• Provide a variety of professional medical services to inmates/residents, including examinations, diagnosing medical issues, prescribing medications, and providing treatment and follow-up care
• Direct and lead the medical program in collaboration with the Health Services Supervisor
• Monitor and review operations and standards of care delivered to inmates/residents
• Participate in treatment team meetings to devise, review, and alter individual health plans
• Perform minor and occasional major surgeries, if necessary
• Hold clinics for nursing specialists in diagnosis, treatment, and prescriptions
• Maintain a good working relationship with facility staff, nursing staff, contract providers, and outside provider agencies
• Utilize established corporate, facility, and correctional policies and procedures
• Accept on-call status

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of medicine
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment
• A valid driver's license is required
• US Citizenship required for ICE clearance
• BLS certification that meets compliance requirements
