Family Medicine Residency Program has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for both aspiring and experienced educators, as an Academic Nocturnist/Hospitalist.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an attending physician, supervising residents and medical students.
- Lecture, teach and mentor trainees in hospital medicine, evidence-based practices, scholarly activity, and patient management.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance patient care and education.
- Participate in residency and hospital committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with resident recruitment, including interviewing candidates.
- Closed ICU - covered by intensivists.
Schedule:
- 2 weeks per month (14 days). (May work more according to desire for more compensation).
- 7-day rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off.
- Night shifts: 12-hour shifts.
- Total of 26 weeks per year (full-time).
