Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a high acuity night shift role on a Surgery Trauma unit working with spinal, neuro, and trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Surgery Trauma unit with high acuity cases
• Patient population includes spinal, neuro, and surgical trauma patients, including gunshot wounds, quadriplegic and paraplegic cases
• 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
• Block scheduling is not available; flexibility required for assigned shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
• Responsible for caring for high acuity trauma and surgical patients with complex needs
• Must be able to work assigned shifts without guaranteed block scheduling
• No requested time off (RTO) will be granted during this assignment
• Two professional references from supervisors or managers needed for consideration

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg or Surgery Trauma specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
