The Neonatology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced care for high-risk neonates in Level III NICUs, collaborating closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include managing neonatal patient care, attending deliveries, performing procedures, and supporting families in a high-volume, teaching hospital environment. The role offers autonomy, no supervision, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits within Providence Women’s & Children’s Services in Portland, OR.
Schedule & Shifts:
- 12-hour or 24-hour shifts
- 7 AM 7 PM
- 7 AM 7 AM
- Mostly 24-hour shifts (lower acuity)
- Higher-acuity NICU with smaller, sicker patients
Location: Portland, OR

Patient Volume:
- 10 patients/day
- 22 patients/day
What You ll Do:
- Manage care for neonates in the NICU
- Attend deliveries & perform neonatal procedures
- Provide unit-based clinical support
- Educate and support families
- Collaborate closely with neonatologists and nursing teams
Team & Support:
- 13 experienced NNPs
- Strong RN and APP support
- No call No admissions
- No supervision requirements
Qualifications:
- Neonatal NP or PA
- Completion of 12-month Neonatal fellowship/residency
- Board Certified / Eligible
- Open to obtaining Oregon license
