Locum Tenens Psychiatrist Opportunity - Near Winston-Salem, NC
We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a locum tenens opportunity near Winston-Salem, NC. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment with experienced staff. The position requires coverage on a scheduled basis with no call responsibilities, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
Position Details:
- Specialty: Psychiatry
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, no weekends
- Shift: Standard day shift, 8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Coverage Type: Scheduled with no call responsibilities
- Block Scheduling: Not required
Support Staff:
- 3 APPs in UC/observation unit
- Either an APP or resident in the FBC
- APP in each ED unit
Work Responsibilities:
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Tele-psych capabilities available
- Average Patient Load:
- Group size: 6 patients
- Urgent care: 10-20 patients daily
- Patient Age Group:
- UC: Ages 5 and above
- Patients under 16 requiring observation or FBC services will be referred to another facility nearby.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Psychiatry required
- State License: North Carolina
- Certifications: BLS and DEA required
- Experience: Must be comfortable triaging children and adolescents.
- Vaccinations: Mandatory
