This role involves providing occupational or physical therapy services specializing in pelvic floor treatment to adult patients, including evaluation, individualized treatment planning, patient education, and documentation. The therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary care team to optimize clinical and financial outcomes, ensuring compliance with professional and organizational standards. Additional responsibilities include supervising support staff, participating in committees, and pursuing relevant certifications for advanced patient care.
- OT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree,Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
- PT Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree,Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degrees from a physical therapy accredited program
PT/OT Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload.
- Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties
- Demonstrateappropriate communication,professionalismand supervision of support staff (licensed assistants,aides, volunteers)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensureoptimalclinical and financial outcomes.
- Work closely with Essentia Healthleadershipand coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Complywithorganizational policies and procedures andthecode of conduct
- Meet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practice
- Work where the patientneedis highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allows
- May serve as a clinical instructor,participateindepartmentor therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that wouldbenefitpatient care
Outpatient Pelvic Floor:
Completion of Herman & Wallace Level I certification, or an alternative advanced training approved by Essentia Healthleadership(may work with leadership on a training plan if you are not currently trained).
Schedule would be weekdays between 7:00am - 7:00pm. No weekend or holiday rotation is required for this role.
- OT License Requirements: Current state licensure as Occupational Therapist
- PT License Requirements: Currentphysical therapylicense in the state performing services
