Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Newport, TN. This position offers short-term coverage, a flexible schedule, and competitive compensation in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a manageable patient flow.
Opportunity Details:
- Location: Newport, TN
- Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens
- Start Date: September 1, 2023
- Shift Schedule:
- Day Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM
- Night Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
- APC Coverage:
- Sunday – Tuesday: 10 AM – 6 PM & 3 PM – 11 PM
- Wednesday – Saturday: 11 AM – 11 PM
- Minimum Commitment: 18 shifts per month
- Practice Setting: Physician-led Emergency Department
- Facility Details:
- Annual Volume: 23,000 – 24,000 patient visits
- 16 ED Beds + Hall Beds as Needed
- Level 3 Trauma Center
- No Admitting Orders Required (Handled by hospitalists)
- EMR System: Cerner
- Temp Privileges: Available for clean files
Provider Requirements:
- Certification: Board Certification Not Required
- Licensure: Active & Unrestricted TN State License & DEA
- Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS
