The Speech Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients with communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia. The role involves coordinating consultations, interpreting diagnostic data, and implementing therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, possess ASHA certification, and be licensed in Georgia with BLS certification.
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Coordinating, consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia; and interpreting assessment data; planning and performing speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Master?s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

None.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology. BLS certification through AHA.
