Required Skills:
- MD or DO medical degree with licensure to practice in Texas
- Board Certification or Active Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN)
- Valid Texas medical license or ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist or equivalent clinical experience
- Proficiency in managing high-acuity obstetric cases and emergencies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a 24-hour clinical setting
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in high-risk obstetrics and neonatal intensive care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to serve diverse patient populations
- Previous experience as a locum tenens provider
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- At least 2 years of clinical practice in obstetrics, preferably in hospital settings
- Prior locum tenens or temporary position experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Availability for 7a-7a 24-hour shifts
- Must hold or be eligible for Texas medical licensure and appropriate certifications
- Willingness to travel for assignments, with reimbursements provided when applicable
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
- Compliant with all state, federal, and local healthcare laws and regulations
