American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with hospital or long-term care experience for a primarily outpatient setting.
Responsibilities- 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient caseload
- Rehabilitation therapy role focused on physical therapy modalities
- Located in a hospital and clinic setting
- 32-hour work week on 8-hour shifts
- Treats patients recovering from accidents, surgery, degenerative or terminal disease
- Primary duties include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic exercises and manual therapy
- Collaborates with other rehabilitation professionals including speech therapists
- Responsible for maintaining detailed patient records and reporting progress to the care team
- Expected to demonstrate professionalism, effective teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills
- Participation in continuing education and departmental staff meetings is required
- Work attire and dress code according to hospital policy
- Master's degree from an accredited physical therapy program
- Experience working directly with patients in a long-term care or hospital setting
- Current Physical Therapist state license required if applicable
- Current BLS or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Strong documentation and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care across a variety of patient populations
