Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor for and report any security-related concerns or irregularities within the government environment.
Interact professionally with members of the public, employees, and/or visitors while maintaining a visible presence.
Follow all protocols for armed patrol, maintaining proper handling and storage of assigned equipment.
Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies on the premises.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
