Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with extensive orthopedic experience and current NJ or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
- Heavy experience required in orthopedics, with cases including orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery
- Block scheduling is available for three 12-hour day shifts from 11:00 to 23:30
- Charting is done using Epic; prior Epic experience is preferred
- Call coverage is required and weekends are rotated
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible
- No travel pairs or groups will be considered for this role
- Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved, and no time off is permitted in the first week of orientation
- First time travelers are eligible for consideration
Requirements
- Active NJ or compact RN license required
- 1-2 years of OR nursing experience with strong orthopedic background required
- Ability to circulate in orthopedic, spine, robotic, and general surgery cases
- Experience with Epic charting is preferred
