The Shrewsbury Behavior Technician supports children and teens with autism by implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of Board Certified Behavioral Analysts. Responsibilities include teaching communication, social, self-help, and play skills, engaging actively with children, and accurately recording treatment data. The role requires a high school diploma with childcare experience or an associate degree with related experience to ensure client safety and developmental progress.

Responsibilities:
- Learn directly from Board Certified Behavioral Analysts how to provide therapy to children and families in need of support
- Teach communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, and play skills through Applied Behavioral Analysis principles
- Maintain active participation for the length of the session by engaging in play and keeping up with the energy of the child, which may include squatting down, bending over and playing on the floor
- Accurately record treatment data on the child’s program goals
- Engage in and ensure client safety
Qualifications:
- You have a High School diploma along with at least 12 months of childcare experience OR You have an Associate's degree or higher in a related field along with at least 6 months of childcare experience
