General job duties. Types of procedures required.
General Medical Surgical nursing care. Skills and tasks required would be assessments, care planning, inter-professional communication, utilization of the EHR, IV pumps, wound vacs, heat/cooling pads, feeding pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, management of heparin and insulin drips, IV therapy management.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Epic electronic record, pyxis machines, Accucheck blood glucose, hospira IV pumps, SCDs for VTE prevention, heating/cooling pads, telemetry monitoring
- Required skills and minimum years of experience- Candidate must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2 or tertiary experience. Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience at a like sized facility (600+) beds.
- Certifications: BLS, IN State or compact RN license
- Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
- EPIC charting
