An Interventional Radiology Physician provides minimally invasive image-guided procedures primarily for elderly patients within a hospital or outpatient setting. The role involves performing typical interventional radiology cases such as pain management for hips and spine, working one day per week with flexible additional days and no nights or weekend calls. Support is provided by radiologic technologists and uses systems like PACS and dictation software integrated with EMR platforms.
Contract Length : 3-4 months (Jan 5 th - through march or April. End of march / mid April)
Schedule : 8a-4p, 1 day per week but flexible to add more days to a week. Tuesdays are unavailable for procedures. No nights, no weekends, no call required. 4 days per month
Clinic details
Practice Setting : Hospital/outpatient (Procedures done in the rad department; Floro or CT room)
Patient Volume : 10-12 per day
Patient Population : Generally elderly
Support Staff : Rad techs
Cases/Procedures : Bread and butter IR: Typical pain cases, hip, spinal , facets, etc.
EMR : Epic (Epic experience is not required)
Dictation software: EXA, Mmotel, or Dragon with EPIC. Whichever is preferred
PACS : Exa
