We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Apr 1, 2026. This 120-day opportunity features 12-hour shifts with 24-hour physician coverage in an emergency department.

• Schedule: 12-hour physician shifts; 24-hour physician coverage; 20 hours of APP coverage in 10-hour shifts

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide direct patient care in an emergency department with sub-waiting areas
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and radiology subspecialists (X-ray, CT, ultrasound)
• Deliver care in accordance with advanced cardiac, trauma, and pediatric life support protocols
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and case logs
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

Additional Information

• Active Texas medical license and DEA registration with Texas address required
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (or osteopathic equivalent)
• Must be residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required
• CME and case logs from the past 2 years required
• Annual completion of 8 hours of Stroke CME and 8 hours of Trauma CME required
• Copies of all education and training diplomas, social security card, driver’s license, color photo, and TB/Flu documentation required
