Position Overview:
ChristianaCare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead our Specialty Pharmacy operations. This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and subject matter expertise in all aspects of specialty pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of Pharmacy Technicians (I, II, III) and Access Coordinators to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training efforts for new pharmacy caregivers
- Manage performance evaluations and quarterly check-ins for assigned staff
- Enforce departmental policies, including time and attendance, PPE usage, and HR procedures
- Create staffing schedules and maintain timecards
- Step in to perform technician and coordinator duties during staffing shortages
- Oversee quality and process improvement initiatives aligned with URAC and ACHC accreditation standards
- Monitor prescribing trends and medication pipelines to identify opportunities for contract enhancements or limited distribution drug access
- Support pharmacy students and residents under pharmacist supervision
- Participate in program development, policy review, and performance improvement initiatives
- Foster a Culture of Responsibility and maintain compliance with safety protocols
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support effective communication and planning
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification required
- Minimum 3 years of specialty pharmacy experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Hourly Pay Range: $25.52 - $38.28
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
