Position: Pediatric Hospitalist Full-Time Perm Placement

Overview:
Join our leading healthcare team as a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist at Sunrise Children's Hospital, Nevada s largest and most comprehensive facility for neonatal and pediatric intensive care. Located in vibrant Las Vegas, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality care in a state-of-the-art setting while enjoying a dynamic city environment filled with diverse recreational and cultural opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient pediatric care across a 46-bed pediatric floor, managing an average census of 25-30 patients daily.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatric intensivists in the PICU (24 beds) and CVICU (14 beds), pediatric emergency physicians in the 30-bed ED, and neonatologists covering a 72-bed Level IV NICU.
- Participate in varied shift schedules, including in-house coverage and after-hours calls from home, ensuring continuity of patient care.
- Maintain thorough documentation and case logs demonstrating current inpatient hospitalist experience, with at least 1 year of recent practice.
- Engage in academic activities if desired, with opportunities for teaching residents from the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD/DO) with current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient hospitalist experience; candidates must be able to present case logs from the past 12 months during the interview.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a varied case load and work effectively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to providing outstanding patient-centered care.
- Candidates must be available to reside within the immediate local area; relocation assistance may be provided.
- Candidates working toward board certification are welcome; candidates with lapsed certification are not eligible.
