Locum tenens Anesthesiologist position in Pittsburgh, PA providing part-time outpatient/OR coverage at West Shore Surgery Center (UPMC) beginning ASAP with immediate dates in October and ongoing assignments. Duties include supervising up to 4 ORs with CRNAs or independently covering an OR, managing rapid turnover cases across multiple surgical specialties (primarily adults, some pediatrics). Requirements: MD/DO, PA medical license, DEA, ACLS/BLS/PALS, board certified/eligible in Anesthesiology, minimum 1 year post-training; travel, lodging, and malpractice covered.

PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: Adults 90%, Pediatrics 10%
- Patient Volume/Census: Supervising up to 4 ORs with CRNAs; may also cover an OR independently
- Admissions: Outpatient/OR only
- Case Mix: Ophthalmology, GI, ENT, Plastic Surgery, General, GYN, Orthopedic, Podiatry, Rectal, Oculoplastic, Dental
- Procedures: Cataract, Retina, Colonoscopy, T&A, BMT, other surgical procedures
- Daily Caseload: Multiple cases per OR, rapid turnover; some longer cases

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Rate: Market rate; details submitted with provider presentation
- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED SKILLS & PROCEDURES
- Able to work independently in an OR if required
- Experience with adult and pediatric patients (minor pediatric cases 10%)
- Paper charting experience
- Must be adaptable to fast-paced, multi-case OR environment
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- License: Active Pennsylvania medical license required (IMLC accepted)
- Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- DEA: Required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year post-training in anesthesiology
- Other Qualifications: Collaborative with CRNAs and OR staff, flexible to cover multiple ORs, multitasking in high-volume surgery center
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide anesthesia coverage in a multispecialty surgery center
- Supervise CRNAs in up to 4 ORs or cover an OR independently
- Manage rapid turnover of multiple cases, including longer procedures (ENT, Plastic)
- Ensure patient safety and high-quality perioperative care for adult and pediatric patients
- Collaborate with experienced surgical and support staff for optimal patient experience
