Orthopedic Surgeon Needed in Emmett, Idaho (North Boise)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our established orthopedic program in Emmett, Idaho. Key Highlights- Total Compensation: $709,000+ annually (Year 1: $618,000 base + incentives)
- Signing Bonus: $50,000 (50% at signing, 50% at start)
- Work Schedule: 2.5 clinic days, 2 OR days per week (4-day work week negotiable)
- Call Coverage: No call required
- Technology: Brand new Velas robotic surgery system
- Location: 30 minutes from Boise with small-town lifestyle
- Patient Base: Immediate volume with established referral network
Clinical ResponsibilitiesGeneral orthopedic surgery including:
- Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements (robotic-assisted)
- Arthroscopic procedures (knee, shoulder, ankle)
- Carpal tunnel release and hand procedures
- Injections and trigger point therapy
- Non-surgical treatment options for chronic conditions
- No spine surgery required
Practice Details- Volume: 30 clinic encounters per day, 2-3 surgeries per OR day
- Support: Comprehensive OR team ( 8 personnel) including 2 full-time CRNAs, experienced OR nurses and surgical techs
- Facility: 16-bed Critical Access Hospital with full surgical capabilities, 128-slice CT, MRI, ultrasound, and on-site lab
- Leadership Role: Medical Director position with $48,000 annual stipend
Qualifications- MD or DO from accredited institution
- Completed orthopedic surgery residency
- Board-certified or board-eligible by American Board of Orthopedic Surgery
- Current or obtainable Idaho medical license
- DEA and Idaho Pharmacy licensure
- BLS and ACLS certification
- 4+ years post-residency experience preferred
