What You'll Work On

Main Purpose of the Role
 

MES is the electronic database which production uses to track and document the build of each product. The main responsibility of the MES Associate 2 is to support the use of the MES system in the manufacturing/production environment and create new MES code for any new product design.  An MES Associate 2 shall also be responsible to train an MES Associate 1, Engineer, and operator in use of the MES system and processes applicable to their needs.


Main Responsibilities

  • Build complex MES code in Microsoft excel, test MES code, implement into MES, and release MES codes into production. Process is defined by engineering and business requirements.
  • Supports production on implementing back-up tooling in MES; and troubleshooting processes and equipment related issues to MES.
  • Provide training on all aspects of MES, ensuring comprehensive understanding and effective application in daily operations.
  • Lead the implementation of MES processes for increasingly complex jobs, ensuring engineers provide all necessary inputs for accurate MES code development. This includes managing projects with a higher volume of code and more intricate error handling, while meeting program management deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable of Windchill, Abbott (BO) Reporting, SAP, Infor, IQS, Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Sharepoint). Provide SME insight for all related MES programs and processes.
  • Effectively collaborates with cross-function teams (including Engineering, Productions, MES IT, MES MSS, Technicians, Planning and other sites) to coordinate MES-related activities. Responsible for managing MES code releases in partnership with the engineering team, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Interact with MES MSS and MES IT team to prioritize and request code support
  • Implement quality of life process improvements to help streamline productions, and assess if MES content changes with change orders (COs).
  • Provide engineers requests for production units build history report in MES.

QUALIFICATIONS
 

Education
High School Diploma / GED


Experience/Background

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • The ideal candidate is a proactive, solutions-oriented individual with strong troubleshooting skills, who is comfortable leading meetings and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in computer applications, such as, Microsoft Excel. Prior experience as a Medical Device operator and experience in MES
  • Key qualification includes previous experience in training employees in MES (Manufacturing Execution System) processes, demonstrating both technical expertise and strong communication skills.


The base pay for this position is $22.55 – $45.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
